Pan Fried Steak

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lb steak cut into 2 pieces
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 pkt mini bell peppers
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tsp dried basil

Instructions
 

  • Defrost steak completely and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Pat dry and rub vegetable oil over the steak. Season them with salt and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Put the mini bell peppers in the air fryer, spray with oil and air fry at 390 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  • Add a little oil into the frying pan over medium-high heat until very hot (>320 degrees F)
  • Fry the steak in the pan for 1.5 to 2 minutes per side. Also sear the fat around the edges. Check temperature of steak to be 145 – 150 degrees F.
  • Add butter into the pan and let it melt. Sprinkle thyme and basil over the steaks and baste it with the melted butter. Repeat for the other side.
  • Remove steaks from heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving with the mini bell peppers.
