Butter Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb chicken cut up
  • 2 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • 3 tsp garam masala
  • 1 3” cinnamon stick
  • 5 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 5-7 oz tub Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Season cut chicken with 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper and 1 tsp turmeric powder. Leave to marinate for 15 minutes+.
  • In wok with 2 tbsp butter, fry chicken until cooked. Dish out to set aside without any liquids produced.
  • In a small bowl make the spice mix with garam masala, cumin, ground ginger, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp turmeric and red pepper flakes.
  • Add 2 tbsp butter to the wok and fry the onions and garlic. Then add the spice mix, cinnamon stick. Fry for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add tomato sauce and brown sugar and bring to simmer. Then add the half & half with 1 cup of water and yoghurt. Bring it to simmer.
  • Add the chicken and 2 tbsp butter and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes
