In a mixing bowl, mix butter and sugar with a hand mixer.
Slowly add and mix the flour into the bowl.
Spread some flour over a clean surface and place the mixed dough.
Form the dough into a log shape of about 2 inches diameter. Sprinkle flour on it to reduce the stickiness of the dough.
Wrap the dough log with cling wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Take the dough out and cut into ¼ to ½ inch disks and place them on a baking try lined with parchment paper.
Push a chocolate chip into each cookie dough (optional)
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F and bake cookie dough for about 30 minutes.
Take it out and let it cool.
