Pressure Cooker Beef Tips

Equipment

  • Pressure Cooker

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb beef cubed
  • 4 tbsp corn starch
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • ½ large onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ cup light soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup red wine
  • 1 tbsp ginger powder
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 large sweet potato cut
  • 1 cup green peas

Instructions
 

  • Marinate beef in Ziploc bag with 2 tbsp corn starch, onion powder and black pepper for 1 hour.
  • Brown beef in a pan with oil and set aside.
  • With oil in pressure cooker, saute onions, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes.
  • Add red wine to deglaze pan. Then add brown sugar, soy sauce and sesame oil.
  • Add meat and mix well. Pressure cook for 20 minutes until steam is venting.
  • Release the pressure and open the pressure cooker to add sweet potato and green peas.
  • Pressure cook for another 20 minutes. Release the pressure.
  • Mix 2 tbsp corn starch with water and add to it. Stir until gravy is thickened
