Steamed Ginger Sesame Fish

Ingredients
  

  • 4 fish fillets cut in half
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp ginger powder
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup wine
  • ¼ cup light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp Herbs de Provence
  • 5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 tsp brown sugar
  • ¼ red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 stalk celery sliced
  • 2 in ginger divided

Instructions
 

  • Season cut fillets with black pepper and ginger powder and place in steaming dish.
  • In in bowl mix the sauce: soy sauce, wine, lime juice, fish sauce, brown sugar. Taste and adjust.
  • Divide the fresh ginger into two. One portion finely chopped and the other sliced into thin strips.
  • With oil in a pan, fry the chopped ginger and garlic. Add 2 tbsp sesame oil.
  • Add and fry the sliced celery and red bell pepper. Then distribute it evenly on top of the fish in the steaming bowl.
  • Bring the water in the steamer to a boil and add the sauce on the fish.
  • Let the fish steam for 30 minutes.
  • Add some oil to the pan and fry the sliced ginger until it turns light brown.
  • Turn off the heat to the steamer and pour the sliced ginger and oil on top of the fish.
  • Sprinkle the herbs and red pepper flakes on top of the fish.
