Air Fried Drumsticks with Korean Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tsp ginger powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 3 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp Gochujang sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger powder
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions
 

  • Completely defrost and pad drumsticks dry with paper towel.
  • Mix seasoning in a bowl (3): salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, onion powder, paprika, red pepper flakes. Add 1 cup flour.
  • In a separate bowl (1), add 1 cup flour. In another bowl (2), beat 2 eggs.
  • Dip each drumstick in bowls (1), then (2) and then (3).
  • Spray with oil.
  • Pre-heat air fryer to 400 degrees F
  • Put drumsticks into air fryer and air fry for 10 minutes at 400 deg F
  • Turn drumsticks over, spray with oil, and air fry for another 10 minutes.
  • Check internal temperature of drumsticks. If >165 deg F, they are done. Otherwise, air fry at 5-minute interval turning each time after checking temperature.
  • In a bowl, make the Korean sauce by mixing: Gochujang sauce, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger powder, vegetable oil, sesame oil
  • Baste the sauce to cover all the fried drumsticks.
