Bacon Cheeseburger Wellington

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb minced beef
  • 1 pack puff pastry 2 pieces 9x9in
  • 1 pack turkey bacon
  • 12 pieces cheese singles
  • ½ cup relish
  • ½ onion minced
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 eggs for egg wash
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Mix the beef with the relish, onions, garlic, salt.
  • Divide into two portions. Wrap each portion in cling wrap and shape into a roll. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Unwrap 1 piece puff pastry and lay 6 pieces of cheese singles from bottom up in two rows. Lay 6 pieces of bacon on top of the cheese and puff pastry.
  • Unwrap one meat roll and lay on top of the bottom part of the puff pastry.
  • Brush the top edge with egg wash. Roll it all the way to the top sealing the meats and cheese in the puff pastry. Pinch the ends closed. If there were insufficient pastry at the ends, Take out some of the meat.
  • Place the enclosed puff pastry in a baking dish.
  • Repeat steps 3-6 for the second puff pastry.
  • Brush egg wash to the top surfaces of the pastry rolls. Sprinkle sesame seeds on them.
  • Bake in pre-heat oven at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes or until the internal temperature >165 deg F.
