Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup canned beetroot
- 1/2 cup red wine
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries, removing any soft ones
- In a pot, combine the cranberries with orange juice, sugar, brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until cranberry pops, about 10 minutes
- Put cooked sauce into a blender. Add beetroot (optional) and red wine. Blend until mixture is smooth.
- Pour mixture into a container and let it cool to room temperature
- Cover container and refrigerate
