Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup canned beetroot
  • 1/2 cup red wine

Instructions
 

  • Rinse cranberries, removing any soft ones
  • In a pot, combine the cranberries with orange juice, sugar, brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until cranberry pops, about 10 minutes
  • Put cooked sauce into a blender. Add beetroot (optional) and red wine. Blend until mixture is smooth.
  • Pour mixture into a container and let it cool to room temperature
  • Cover container and refrigerate
