Defrost steak completely and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Pat dry and rub vegetable oil over the steak. Season them with salt and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Put the mini bell peppers in the air fryer, spray with oil and air fry at 390 degrees F for 5 minutes.
Add a little oil into the frying pan over medium-high heat until very hot (>320 degrees F)
Fry the steak in the pan for 1.5 to 2 minutes per side. Also sear the fat around the edges. Check temperature of steak to be 145 – 150 degrees F.
Add butter into the pan and let it melt. Sprinkle thyme and basil over the steaks and baste it with the melted butter. Repeat for the other side.
Remove steaks from heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving with the mini bell peppers.
