Baked Sesame Chicken Tenders

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb. Boneless chicken tenders
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 cup blended panko
  • ½ cup grated cheese.
  • 6 tbsp ABC sweet sauce
  • 7 tbsp soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Season chicken pieces with garlic, salt, black pepper, baking soda, eggs, ½ tbsp corn starch and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Let it marinate for 1 hour.
  • Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F
  • Mix panko and grated cheese in a bowl. Coat each chicken piece with in it and place on baking tray/rack. It is advisable for you to use a baking rack that allows air circulation to heat both sides of the chicken.
  • Bake chicken in oven at 425 degrees F for 10-15 minutes so that the chicken becomes crispy on the outside and cooked inside but still moist. Take out of oven and put onto serving dish.
  • Prepare sauce with ABC sweet sauce, tomato ketchup, 6 tbsp soy sauce, white vinegar and 3 tbsp water. Heat in wok with 1 tbsp sesame oil to a boil to caramelize the sugars. Add corn starch water.
  • Pour hot sauce onto chicken pieces in serving dish. Pour about 4 tbsp sesame oil and 4 tbsp sesame seeds over the chicken.
