Korean Glazed Drumsticks

Ingredients
  

  • 10 chicken drumsticks
  • ¾ cups honey
  • 2 oz butter
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2/3 cups ketchup
  • ½ cup light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 stalks parsley
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder

Instructions
 

  • Pad chicken drumsticks dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
  • Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl: ketchup, soy sauce, sesame oil, hoisin sauce, apple cider vinegar.
  • In an oven-ready pan with some oil, fry the drumsticks until they turn light brown on all sides (7-10 minutes)
  • Remove and set aside drumsticks when done. Turn off heat.
  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F
  • In the same pan, add butter and minced garlic. Then add the sauce mix and stir well until simmering.
  • Add drumsticks back into the pan and baste them well with the sauce.
  • Bake in oven for 20-30 minutes until chicken internal temperature is >165 degrees F.
  • Remove from oven. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and parsley
