Salisbury Steak

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb minced beef
  • 1 onion cut
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp beef base
  • 2 tbsp corn starch

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, mix egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, black pepper, salt, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, breadcrumbs.
  • Add minced beef and mix thoroughly.
  • Shape into oval steak patties.
  • In a pan with oil, fry the patties about 2-3 minutes preside until browned. Set aside.
  • In the same pan with oil, fry onions for 2 minutes.
  • Add mushrooms and fry for another 2 minutes.
  • Add beef base and 2 cups of water and bring to boil.
  • Put steaks into the pan and cover them with the sauce.
  • Let steaks simmer over medium-low heat for 30 minutes covered.
  • Add corn starch slurry to thicken the gravy and remove from heat.
