Boil sweet potatoes in a pot for 15 minutes until fork tender. Drain and mash the potatoes with a hand mixer. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla and melted butter. Add cranberries and blend. Put into the baking dish.
Make the topping: brown sugar, pecan, flour and cold butter cubes. Mix by hand and spread on top of the potatoes.
Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes
